Waterloo Boxing partners with the League of Champions Foundation

Former World undisputed Heavyweight Champion Lennox Lewis and his wife Violet, dropped by the gym to make a huge announcement.   The League of Champions Foundation will be running a week long boxing camp and have asked Waterloo Boxing to host the camp! By unanimous decision the Waterloo Regional Boxing Academy Executive Board has agreed to accept a new logo, to be incorporated immediately. Thank you to of our Senior WRBA Member Matt Muranko for the concept! Matt took the ideas of our members and was able to come up with a great design!

WRBA Gives Back

WRBA gives back!! Waterloo Boxers invited Anne Boehm (niece of the late Arnie Boehm) of the Children’s Wish Foundation to the gym and presented a cheque for $2100. The donation are the proceeds raised from the Seasons Beatings fundraiser! Thanks to our great friend Darren Stevenson of 519 Sports for stopping by the gym and covering the event.

National Championships

WRBA sent 3 athletes to the National Championships and came away with 3 medals(2 Gold and 1 Bronze).     1.William Yolcano was awarded the Bronze medal, losing to last years gold medalist and the eventual tournament Champion.     2. Waterloo Boxers Shine at the Ontario Winter Games

WRBA recently traveled to the Ontario Winter Games held in Orillia/ from March 1-4, 2018. The actual boxing portion took place at the North Simcoe Sports and Rec Complex in Midland Ontario.
