In 1996, the Kitchener Sports Association began a scholarship program, funding a five-year Scholarship Program for graduating students of secondary schools in Kitchener-Waterloo. The intent was to provide four awards of $1,000 each year. In 2001, funding was confirmed to continue the program. WRBA sent 8 boxers to the 2016 Golden Gloves Tournament. Our first Boxer to fight was Isaac Toleff. He resides out of Cambridge, ON. Isaac is 15 years of age and he is fighting at 44-46 KG weight class. Isaac weighed in at the 44 KG mark and was ready to step into the ring. Unfortunately his opponent came in over weight and did not qualify for the weight division….
