Doug Hergott
Vice President
I was born and raised in the K-W area and have lived in Heidelberg for the past 20 years. I am happily married for over 40 years, with one married daughter and two grandchildren. Hobbies include gardening, older cars and traveling. I recently retired after 30 years at the City of Kitchener, as the Manager of Facilities Management. My responsibilities were asset management and project management (ranging from renovations to new construction, corporate emergency preparedness, corporate security, lease and rental agreements, annual operating and capital budgets, preparing/presenting business cases to council and preparing tender documents). I was also involved on many internal and external committees over the years, for example, Waterloo Regional Police (WRP) related to corporate security & downtown issues, or Downtown Business Association (DBA) for large events in the downtown core and have appeared in court on a number of occasions as an expert witness on behalf of the city.
I look forward to contributing to the WRBA any way I can to assist the organization.
